Hello activist. How do you feel about cutting down some trees to print some catalogues? This Father’s Day, tell Sears that what your dad really needs isn’t ties, tools, or a new grill — it’s clean water, a safe climate, and the protection of Endangered Forests for him and his children.
Father’s Day is a big sales time for Sears — that’s why activists across the United States and Canada will be taking action on the week leading up to Father’s Day to tell Sears that it’s time for the company to stop destroying Endangered Forests for its catalogs. And we need your help.
Sign up to host an event on Father’s Day or find an event in your area that you can attend.
Since 1880, Sears has been famous for its catalogs, but now it is 2008 and Sears must face this new era of climate change and recognize its role in it. Sears is the largest producer of catalogs that has refused to adopt a progressive environmental policy.
Join our growing list of supporters who are already involved in our Father’s Day actions.
We’re here to help you plan your action. Here’s what you can do:
- Organize an event at a Sears storefront, on your campus, or in your community
- Flyer and postcard at a Sears store or on your campus or in your community
- Host a letter-writing party
- And more!
Even if you’re not sure what action you want to do or can’t do it exactly on Father’s Day that’s O.K. Sign up to host an event and we’ll be in touch with you, help with planning, send you materials, and whatever else you might need.
