Are you bored with our new Translink Board of Directors? Thought that they would actually adhere to their “no closed door meeting” policy? Ha! Boy were we fooled. So what is the first thing they do? Hold a closed door meeting and give themselves a $1,000 per meeting raise … a meeting they can attend over the telephone. WOW, $1200 for one phone call? What is this, a provincial 1-900-sex number? At least the last time we were screwed like this over the telephone at least we had a happy ending. But wait! They have another surprise in store… as their Parking Stall Tax cash cow died of Hoof-in-Mouth disease, they are planning another closed door meeting to raise our property taxes to cover their 18 million dollar bill … maybe they should turn that 1-900 number and open it to the public, at least we can get screwed, pay for it and try to enjoy it.
