		<description>That's a good point, I think what I meant is that the local tech industry people were behind it, and are also behind many other events.  But you're correct, don't assume you need to be a developer to show up to Northern Voice!</description>

		<description>I'm not so sure this is a tech industry event. Sure, it had some stuff for developers, but it had a great deal for educators and a great deal for actual &lt;i&gt;bloggers&lt;/i&gt;. I think the analogy of early car enthusiast is valid: in the beginning, there were ONLY techie people involved. As it got easier, you had people driving cars who had no idea how they worked under the hood, but who drove at amazing speeds, to amazing places. This conference isn't restricted to those who can take apart a blog and build it from the ground up. It's not an INDUSTRY thing at all; it's a conference built around the experience of blogging, as experience.</description>
