Brioche has been a Gastown haunt of mine since I moved back to Vancouver about 6 years ago. It’s for good reason, as they serve up some of the best sandwiches in town, and consistently amazing soups. My favourite menu item is the ham, brie, and portobello sandwich which comes on fresh panini bread with an amazing vinaigrette. It can do no wrong.
A narrow brick-walled spot that skewers the space between Cordova and Water streets, Brioche is always a hive of activity. Whether it’s for the lunch rush or preparations are underway for a major catering event, the worker bees are always moving. Presiding over this, Eduardo Bilardello, the head chef and owner, has done great work on this cozy cafe location to make it one of the most inviting, and most satisfying eateries in the Gastown area.
Brioche is one of the must-visit eateries in Gastown, so be sure to check it out if you haven’t been by yet!
