bert20071127.jpgAfter a couple of false starts, former Vancouver Canuck power forward Todd Bertuzzi makes his return to GM Place as a member of the Anaheim Ducks.

Ever since a blockbuster trade sent Alex Auld Bryan Allen and Bert to Florida for Roberto Luongo, Lukas Krajicek and a draft pick (Sergei Shirokov), the Canucks’ former No. 44 (he’s No. 4 in Anaheim) has missed games in Vancouver with injury as a member of the Panthers and Wings.

I know it’s easy to deride Bertuzzi for the attack on Steve Moore; his surly attitude towards the media and his cockiness, he taunted Minnesota in the playoffs and they came back from down 3-1, but I think people forget that he was probably part of the best line the Canucks have ever fielded.

Alongside Markus Naslund and Brendan Morrison the three put up big numbers and even was featured in an article in Sports Illustrated.

A poll on sports radio station TEAM 1040 asked, “Does the return of Todd Bertuzzi mean anything to you?”

43 percent said Yes; 57 percent said No.

When the Canucks host the Ducks tonight, will you cheer for Todd Bertuzzi or will you boo?
