No, it’s not a concert, but it is to be a smashing night of tribute to Daft Punk. Fan DJs My!Gay!Husband! and Hana will be spreading their love for the “Parisian Duo” all night long with some of their own remixes of favourites. But judging from the reactions on the facebook events page you wouldn’t guess it wasn’t the band themselves that was going to play:
“I <3 Daft Punk!!! SO MUCH!”
“This is a potential dream come true.”
and my favourite,
“I have to look after a little dog that night… so… I’ll see how he fairs by himself for a couple of hours.”
Daft Punk released their second live album titled Alive 2007 on November 19, 2007. The duo is famous for their robot costumes, which they describe as an advanced form of Glam and have been compared to Kiss for this reason.
While the two will regrettably not be present at We <3 Daft Punk III this Saturday, it’s certain to be a smashing good time.
