Duncan McNicholl, a friend of 4TheRcrd’s at Engineers without Borders (EWB) is heading to Malawi in southern Africa with Engineers Without Borders working in the agriculture sector. These good people featured LUGZ COFFEE LOUNGE on their site for getting involved in importing fairly traded coffee’s into Vancouver and featuring them in our stores in Vancouver. On his visit this summer to Africa more specifically, he will be working to study the opportunities rural farmers have for further processing cassava (a kind of tuber) to improve income generation in the region. If you are interested in following along with their project, well, they have a blog set up at:
Please feel free to post questions or comments on the blog and Duncan will do his best to keep in touch and answer them.
