On Saturday April 12 through to April 13th, No Barriers Photography is holding a fundraiser to help cover travel expenses for a one month trip to Baffin Island. Photojournalist Roberta Holden is providing free photography services for an isolated Inuit village and creating their first community exhibition. She will also be with a women’s shelter and providing meditation classes. Selling black & white photography and art cards to fund travel and equipment expenses. www.nobarriersphotography.com.
Her work is truly amazing, and she is an incredible artist, producing internationally acclaimed black & white art photography. Did I mention that during her last trip in 2007 she actually led a 6 person all-women’s sailing team into the Arctic, and mountaineered her way through the bitter cold November winter, all while shooting on film?
