Bhangra love is tomorrow night… grab your dance shoes and get ready to bounce! Please come early as this is going to be a busy night :o) March is Bhangra month in Vancouver, and the BWB is proud to collaborate with the Vancouver International Bhangra Celebration to present a smoking night of South Asian beats. Sandeep Kumar, a legend on the North American bhangra circuit will be joining us for his first Vancouver appearance. Sandeep, based in LA, has worked with all the heaviest DJs and promoters at all the hottest club events on the continent. Be prepared to shake! En Karma, Vancouver’s newest and tightest live bhangra band will be throwing down a set for us. Live singing, dhol, dholki, keys, drumkit and bass make for a bouncy bouncy bend of goodness. On the dance side of things, we’ve organized a battle — between two of the city’s hottest bhangra dancers (from the Footedge dance company), and two of the city’s best urban dancers (from Over the Influence). Watch out! The results are outta control!
Finally, the BWB’s own Nils, Adrian and Tspoon will be serving their own bhangra beats and breaks, with the wizardry of VJ Suez and some special guest MCs.
This is typically our biggest night of the year and it will sell out, so get there early!
