We don’t get a lot of these sexual discrimination complaints, and yet we still manage to dismiss the lot of them. In this instance even the arbitration for the Tribunal and the Plaintiff were in a tiff.
Is anyone else shocked about BC’s seemingly “green” budget? Many peeps seem to be siding with the state against big business — which is not surprising in this case. I hope the concessions made in this budged will not be made BY business but will be made TO business — so often the inverse is true.
I dig the new “Barwatch” initiative: Vancouver bar owners who are part of Barwatch have the highest security standards in North America. In essence, we’re policing and managing money-laden criminal activity that so often goes undetected in the intoxicated nightlife community.
Ok, since when is Volunteering a paid adventure? It sounds like a moot point to have to clarify over and over again. So, I don’t want to celebrate the opening of another Centre for Mental Health and Addiction but, alas, I do see that resources are sorely needed for those who cannot find other legitimate help or support. That said, BC is going to see another 100 beds which is a substantive increase. Just how much pharmaceutical money is makings its way into such centres, one could ask?
BC’s six Health Authorities will get a 19 per-cent funding increase over the next three years, but so many critics are still frustrated with the numbers.
