http://www.crystalxp.net/galerie/img/img-3d-animations-workin-progress-workin-progress-com-433.jpgAre we to assume that while an overall crime-rate decreases, violence somehow increases? Just how many officers are in charge of the DTES? Cuz I only see one being interviewed I get the feeling there are all too few. We read that “overall crime in that zone has dropped 6.8 per cent over the past year” but that “violence is up almost two per cent” so how do these numbers…add up?

Let’s devote millions into a fund for housing initiatives, then let’s invest, not spend it at all, and then spend the interest on other projects — people will understand that, I’m sure: “In [the] 2007 budget, top billing went to the announcement of a $250 million Housing Endowment Fund, which promised “innovative housing solutions for British Columbians most in need.” *But one year later, only $2.65 million of that money has been given away, plus an additional $4.75 million promised.

We’ve again “demonstrated just how little progress has been made on the government’s plan to enhance “the capacity of the Aboriginal community to deliver child and family development services,” and the tradition continues.

Oh, and while we’re on the topic of ineffectuality, let’s institute far-too-modest standards of carbon taxes, and wonder why we’re not making any headway.
