I spoke to a few lovely commuters this morning who told me that, in their trek to UBC, they had to get off the No. 9 Bus (Broadway) and wait for a new bus, with dozens of other passengners for over 30 minutes BEFORE the transit-supervisor, who was across the street looking at them, told them that hey, indeed, NO MORE 9 busses were coming their way. He didn’t even volunteer the information, they had to bug him about the bus before he had anything to say. The only way they found this fact out was by bugging him and asking him first.
As it turns out, the standard commute to UBC this morning involved, either the B-Line or No.9, a transfer to the number 7, then the number 84, and then the number 3 bus. Lovely, isn’t it!?

Huzzah! The 700th post! What a sad state of affairs the transit system is in. That’s why I’ve decided to (finally) get my license!
Dang that’s lame.
Good thing they increased the fares to $2.50
I try to walk now =p
Agreed — let’s all buy snazzy bikes and ride in caravans that slow everyone else down as much as the average f’in buss. That would totally turn me on…
