CLICK FOR DETAILS: http://vanyoga.com/images/centre.jpgI heard great things about a smashing yoga non-profit studio just off Main & Broadway, by LUGZ COFFEE, and I’m very excited to go tomorrow evening. First off, I hear that they do both Kundolini and Ashtanga yoga, among many others and, in the spring season, offer a most brilliant 50% off for all registrants. This place is called “Yoga in Daily Life,” (I know, not at all pretentious) at 223 W. Broadway @ Columbia St. (604.646.0134).

With unlimited 1-month rates at $50 or 6-month rates at $210 you can’t go wrong. They offer mats, so leave yours at home, and they don’t care about fancy wear, so chill out and wear whatever is loose and comfortable. They offer Yoga plans offered to cater to aching Back and Joints, those simply seeking deep relaxation breathing exercises, or those seeking to advance to Level-2 there are definitely super-advanced classes.

“Yoga In Daily Life can be practiced by anyone regardless of age, ability, or physical condition. To suit everyone’s needs, we offer classes consisting of chosen sets of exercises from the Yoga In Daily Life System - including traditional yoga postures, breathing exercises, relaxation, and meditation.”

Kundalini yoga is a great yoga that emphasizes both physical and meditative aspects of being. Our kundalini is our basic life force, our praana, that lies coiled up at the base of our spine like a serpent, waiting to be unleashed. I’ve practiced Kundalini off and on for years now and have found it to be beneficial in awakening energy and potential, both physically and mentally. Highly recommended. :)
