A small flock of youth are taking their inexpensive skimboards and are heading out to practice, practice, practice. It’s slated to be an all day affair which is impressive. Last i went, my toes were hurting after an hour or so, trying to grip to the board and land upright takes a toll on the little ones.

What the heck is the Laughter Club? It’s a place and group where the fine art of laughter is practiced. It’s a place where you will laugh like you have never laughed before. Yes it does indeed sound absurd, and outrageous! People of all ages, religions and ethnicities laugh together. It is a great way to build bridges and promote peace in the community. Bring a water bottle and comfortable clothing.

Most of us know someone who has been affected by Cancer, and I know several people who have been affected by the Cancer’s below the belt! We all know how dangerous and tough Cancer can be on families and friends, let alone the victim, this is a chance to fight back and kick Cancer’s below the belt, and have fun a doing it.

A slew of youth are meeting at 1 pm at Holdom station, they are then proceeding to Commmercial Drive, then to Granville Skytrain station, then bussing across Lion’s gate. If its raining it will be slightly muddy, so wear the right shoes (not white). A planned event of extaordinary violence. Fun but painful! Feel the thrill of being hunted!
Sat., June 30, 2007. MUAY THAI BOXING CHAMPIONSHIPS @ Mariting Labour Centre (1880 Triumph St.). 6:00PM-11:00PM. Tix. 25/35.
We shall see “Osmond Vs Henry”, two BC heavyweights go a full match and much more. Elbows, Knees, Kicking and, yes, Boxing. All told some good entertainment. I don’t think i’ll be able to bare the sheer brutality, I just might go and read a book.
